I have over 20 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health, physical disabilities and those who are aging. I worked in an intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID) as a behavior support specialist, as a care manager in the Family Care program, as a regional director at Creative Community Living Services, and I have run a senior residential care apartment complex (RCAC) and 16-bed community-based residential facility (CBRF) for people living with Alzheimer's or traumatic brain injuries. I have a history of supporting individuals with behavioral needs, and have trained direct support staff in behavior modification, creating behavior support plans, and developing coping skills. I am an advocate for all people having the right and opportunity to work in the community with or without supports. I am also a strong advocate for the mental health field. I strongly enjoy working with individuals with cognitive deficits and have formed some great relationships over the years.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
For me, successfully partnering together is about having open communication and actively listening to your needs. I believe that getting to know the individual I’m working with is key; and I make sure to respect their preferences and their voice. Working together with open and honest communication is important.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite thing about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is working with individuals who are passionate about making their own decisions and carving their own path in the world.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have worked with various groups of people and have supported individuals with all types of needs and levels of abilities. I have worked with people in developing outcomes related to their strengths and needs and goals. All of this has prepared me to be a caring TMG IRIS Consultant who knows how to find the resources you need to achieve the things you want. I look forward to getting to know you and partnering together so that you can live the life you choose.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my two sons, and going hiking, biking or baking together. We also love playing Uno. My sons and I enjoy taking our three rescue dogs on walks as much as we can on the trails around Wisconsin. My parents are a big part of our lives as well. My faith is very important to me.
