Care Responsibilities
Your TMG IRIS consultant is your partner as you create a plan that meets your needs and stays within your IRIS budget. Your TMG IRIS consultant can connect you to resources in your area, and will be a great source of information for any questions you have about the IRIS program. In a self-directed program like IRIS, you decide who provides your support and services and when they happen. You may have natural support from people in your life, or you may choose to purchase the support you need from an agency or someone that you hire directly. Your TMG IRIS consultant will be there to talk through these decisions with you, and will help you put a plan in place that reflects your choices.

Prior to coming to TMG, I spent four years working with adults who needed long-term care assistance. I have worked with individuals with cognitive disabilities, mental health issues, substance abuse issues and the elderly. Prior to my experience with adults, I worked for 20 years with juveniles involved in the criminal justice system and with those affected by domestic violence. I have also spent 15 years as a volunteer/coach with the Wisconsin Special Olympics.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I believe that all individuals have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. I believe that the people I partner with know what will work best for them, and it is my job to help individuals set up a plan to meet to meet those needs. I will listen to what is most important to people to live a full and happy life.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is that I get to partner with individuals to create a plan utilizing the resources available to them so that together we can meet their goals.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My past experience working with youth, adults and families that needed support and guidance to ensure they live a safe and full life has prepared me to be a TMG IRIS Consultant. I look forward to partnering with people and helping them get the resources that they need to live the life they want.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I continue to participate as a coach/volunteer with Special Olympics, and am very active with my faith community.
