More about me

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I will work with individuals and families to create support services that will assist them in reaching their goals, hopes and dreams. We will work together to identify the services that are available in your area and outlying regions. We make sure that these supports are individualized and person centered. We will continually review the supports to ensure the that they are relative to achieving the goals identified and moving forward.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I enjoy being able to get to know individuals in the program and being creative (thinking outside the box) in identifying things that are important to them. Working together to establish a robust IRIS plan that supports different aspects of their life is very gratifying. Self-direction allows the person using the services to be in control of what is happening around them.

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
I have both personal and professional experience in supporting individuals in long term care. I have worked with many families who are strong advocates and support for their loved ones. I can reflect on conversations with people who are directing their own support and with family members. I can use these experiences to get a better understanding of support needs and am able to rely on the creativity of different situations for clearing the path ahead.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love to spend time with my family and take my dog for walks. I like to be creative and paint, create collages and make jewelry. I always keep my eye out for a creative twist on a new project!
