I earned my Specialization Certification in Gerontology since aging continues a passion for me. I have experience working with and providing services to individuals of all ages, from all backgrounds, and with a wide variety of disabilities. I have volunteered for decades as a Hospice Respite Provider and within my community to assist individuals to maintain their independence and community involvement by providing effective, low cost assistive technology and devises to increase their autonomy.

How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
My role is to provide information, options, and possibilities so each person can make the best choice for them Selves. I am solution-focused and when I am stumped by a challenge, I ask for help and inform my partners of the answers as quickly as possible. I admit my errors and expediently work to correct them.

What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is partnering with individuals and their families to assist them in living the life of their choosing. The mission, goals, and values of TMG and the IRIS program align with my personal belief structure. My life’s experiences have perfectly suited me to provide this service. I love this work!

What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
Volunteering in various roles, education, and work experiences have all combined to make me a good fit with the TMG IRIS Consultant Agency. I have always known that each person has unique contributions to offer the world. I enjoy service to others, particularly when my role is a partner.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy learning, the outdoors, gardening, animals, music, and hunting. I love to volunteer in almost any capacity and enjoy hard work toward meeting goals — even if I lack expertise in the tasks required. I have learned the most from other people from all walks of life, fueling my passion for learning.
