How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I partner with people by talking with them about their likes and dislikes. We also discuss any barriers that the person might have in moving forward and figure out possible solutions to make reaching that goal easier.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
My favorite part about being a TMG IRIS Consultant is meeting with the participants and seeing their progress through self-determination. Also, I enjoy empowering them to be their own advocates while supporting them in their journey.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Family Care Case Manager has prepared me to be a knowledgeable and compassionate TMG IRIS Consultant. I look forward to getting to know you and working together to help you reach your goals.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I like to stay healthy by working out at the gym and cooking healthy foods. I also love swimming – I like to swim across the Lannon Quarry in the summer, and I teach swimming lessons to kids. I also teach gymnastics to children, and enjoy choreographing gymnastic and dance routines. I enjoy attending plays, musicals, dance, and other performance art. I also love spending time with my family, going to the park with my dog, Louie James, and grooming and riding horses. Volunteering is an important part of my life: I volunteer to help children and adults in the recovery community for drugs/alcohol, as well as at assisted living facilities, church and at school. I also enjoy nature with hiking, photography, or meditation within nature. I’m a fan of fishing, and going on with boat with my family and friends watching fireworks, enjoying the beautiful weather, enjoying laughter.
