Prior to coming to TMG, I had 10 years of experience serving seniors who were unemployed or living on low-income to help them reach their goals for self-sufficiency through the Senior Community Service Employment Program. How do you Partner with people to 'clear the path ahead'?
I like finding out what’s most important to the person, what their likes and dislikes are, and how they would like to live their life as we develop a plan that will work for everyone involved.
What's your favorite thing about being an IRIS consultant?
I love getting to know the people I partner with in IRIS and their families. I also enjoy finding out what makes them "tick" and seeing them overcome challenges to meet their goals for independence.
What past experience prepared you to become an IRIS Consultant?
My background in occupational therapy in the fields of employment training, mental health, developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury has prepared me to be a resourceful and effective partner for people who choose to self-direct in the IRIS program.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love spending my free time with my family. I also enjoy reading, being outdoors and shopping.
